Excuse me for my ignorance. The situation as I understand it is that we already have a product which is basically ready to roll. It does not need any more research. The company is in a precarious financial position? The new management has told us they are going to be very conservative with the remaining cash. A financial way forward has not yet been established. There may be other products or what ever that can be developed but maybe we should get what we have off the ground first.
I do research, so understand the values. However I can also put my hand in my pocket and pull out the cash and count it.
If I'm running a bit low I forgo the Coffee Latte.
The new management assured us there was a whole new perspective. I now don't see it until the company can offer me an explanation as to what and why the research. Because from here it looks like the snouts are coming back to the trough. I can't believe this management has the audacity to announce a new spending arrangement before it announces something positive about a way forward.
Academics, God help us!!!!
