They havent hit 10nm to 19nm, they have an agreement with a company that is aiming for 1x because they have products at that. So to embed reram into their silicon devices they need to go there as well. Crossbar believes it potentially go less than 10nm. That may be so but it wont be the sweet spot of the market but will defintiely be potentially lucrative.
But do you also notice that they are going out of their way to put Crossbar in uses that wont compete with NAND Flash any time soon? I have no idea why exactly, perhaps just a business decision. But Mama, that's where the fun is.
Who gets there as a NAND FLASH replacement with RERAM will make a lot. Plenty of room for multiple players too, particular if Crossbar goes after specialist areas and 4DS goes after storage class in datacentres.
Whomever gets theirs on iphones, android devices and into consumer SSDs will probably do OK
