I'm very worried.

I've some biotech shares in companies that are working on gene silencing and a cure for macular degeneration and some looking for cancer treatments as well. Another I've got is producing testing kits to reduce the cost of this. Could be a big market.

I got to admit the shares are doing ok, one very well, but I haven't got a clue about the experiments and trials they are doing. The guys and girls in charge are all PhDs, experts in their field.

Maybe I should contact the companies and give them my opinion about how I'd do things if I worked there. Or, perhaps I should look on the web for research that others are doing in the same area and notify the companies I have shares in to bring them up to speed on the competition. After all, they are all probably nerds and boffins and have no idea of what it's like in the real world. I'm sure they'd be grateful for my advice.

Or better still, not. Leave them to it.
