Hi Rosyoutlook
I had determined not to read your reply however glad I did.
Let me put it in perspective.
I am no "baby". I am 68 years young and have communicated 1 on 1 with MD's all my life because I have been one nearly ALL my working life too. I have, except for a short stint as General Manager, always run my own Companies.
That I am more articulate on paper is a fact but I don't cringe from oral communication either.
It is just that in this particular instance I had been trying to get DB to address the issues in a manner by which we could ALL see and understand them, his motives, and his vision. The only way for that to be achieved is in writing.
We need a bit of TLC at the moment and DB talking to me and saying anything he wants and me coming back to this Forum to "report" on our conversation in my opinion is meaningless.
We NEED DB to come out and address us. Let us know he is still there. Dispel the rumours. Take on the detractors [yes I am one of them] face to face so to speak, and give us back a reason to believe [and therefore invest]. It can be done without "taking us on". Just start keeping us in the picture. We have got money tipped in here and deserve to know how it is being used.
I have got an interest in a number of "penny dreadfulls" and I can say that without exception this one is the least informative and most covert of them all. Whether the others hold better prospects than BPH or not will always be debatable until the proof is produced but at least they do earnestly try to let you know you are important enough to be kept in the big picture.
Every Company gives STAFF regular Company updates via noticeboards and meeting to assist morale. I did and it is critical to Company success and staff satisfaction so why the heck aren't we [the people who pay the bills] given any less than the same courtesy??
Anyway, off my soapbox. I still firmly believe that while I now have a conduit direct to DB apart from making me personally feel warm and fuzzy on the day, the cause hasn't been advanced one iota.
Again, glad I read your post. It is easy to get offside [you should see the spray I gave one poor bugger lately] and hopefully there is some common ground there somewhere.
PS Very odd goings on Friday with SP, eh.
