There are regulatory obligations to put LEGAL responsibility on the BOD to ensure value for SHs FIRST. Yes, LEGAL responsibility and NOT OPTIONAL respinsibility which precent to then only leave SH (decision to invest) to be blamed for failure and be left with "option" of "moving on". Surely you knew this public investment 101 stuff!
