I think its great that threads have insights from people in the industry, even if its not what current holders always want to hear.


Do you have any thoughts on RealEstateView.com.au @MMMoney ? I not that another listed player has signed a partnership with them recently. Realestateview look like they have both sales and rentals so yet another site that RNT will be fighting for market share with.

I think that for anyone to compete with and topple REA and Domain in any of their core offerings will be extremely difficult - as you mention, many have tried and failed.

The industry approach is interesting and perhaps by getting the agents on board within the industry they will achieve the critical mass to have some impact. Perhaps they have a better chance than others who are coming in from outside. The auto industry did something similar to try and compete against carsales.com.au and if I recall, it never really succeeded.
