In the share buy back letter it stated that IF you didn't respond (as a holder of MUM, of an unmarketable parcel.. small holding) then they WOULD SELL your shares. I.e. BUY them off you.
I wrote to them on the standard form and indicated that I wanted to keep my MUM shares.
Then I received a statement from the share registry about 2 weeks ago indicating Zero shares. I went to my MUM file - and there was a copy of my letter.
I immediately rang the registry on receipt of the statement indicating zero holdings and to be quite frank - they were of no help at all. Furthermore they could not care less. I explained the full situation and was told (quiet rudely) that there was nothing they could do. The "team lead" at the registry and I got so heated - she actually hung up. I was livid. I still am.
Surely this is not legal?
I am taking this further.
I want to keep my MUM shares.
Furthermore - no $ have hit my Superannuation Bank Account.
Suggest we all go hard on this one. I have never experienced ANYTHING like it.
All the best and please stick to your guns. Fancy treating shareholders like this...
