Interesting. It's not impossible. But that's a very ballsy strategy to be both long on fundamentals and short on sentiment. In fact, I have never heard of it happening. I'll look into it and report back on what I find. But as additional context, Regal lost a lot of FUM last year. They got into a fistfight with ASIC on some trading issues around TEN and information they got from a broker. As a result, some major wrap platforms were forced to redeem all their investors money in their Long Short Equity Fund (mine included, grrr....). This could have resulted in the selling down position given the fund was reduced by ~80%. Food for thought.
