There are forecasts and there are forecasts. If I make a prediction about exactly how the future is going to play out, and you believe me, then you're a fool. If I make some conservative and reasonable estimates of whether or not a my hard earned cash is likely to generate a reasonable return for me, and I ignore them, then I'm a fool.

For the moment you are happy to proceed with the forecast that the Wilson's will simply continue to have the Midas touch, regardless of how far they stray in geography & market.

Believe me, that is a forecast. What's more, it's a forecast with few, but massive, moving parts.

I actually am a big believer that reasonable forecasts involving several moving parts, as long as they're all big picture parts, in the aggregate will probably result in a reasonable outlook in terms of realistic expectations, without the risk inherent in having all expectations contingent on one moving part (such as the Midas touch).

As to your exhortation to buy in the money entitlements... well that sounds a lot like turning your beloved REH into a casino.
