Just a note of caution all.
I am an ex employee from Windimurra and can confirm that the was a hell of a lot of vanadium being pumped straight out to the tailings dam.
There was talk of building a mineral sands type of circuit at the end of the beneficiation circuit to capture the non-magnetic material but I left before Xstrata shut the place down.
On the plus side the Vanadium price is a lot higher than it was back then and the quality of the V2O5 produced was some of the best in the world.
