Simgrund, it’s not about ‘our conscience-ridden guilt trip’ but about what right and what’s wrong. When you lose your morality you behave no different to those you are attacking for being the same. 

Is it moral to shoot unarmed medics?

Is it moral to shoot unarmed reporters deliberately?

Is it moral that the Israeli people after suffering under fascism have a government that is openly arming Bandarist Nazi’s in the Ukraine with Israeli weapons and training? The same Nazi’s ideology that killed millions of Jews, Poles, Russians and other Slavs.

Tell me what is gained from those actions?

Tell me this is wrong or are you being an apologist?

What is gained from the lining up of hundreds of military units around a small besieged area except to provoke conflict and misery. These people are besieged and the people of Israeli have undergone a siege mentality that needs to be broken or they become more lost in the moral cause that was the foundation of the Israeli state if you can’t achieve peace. I don’t believe the current trajectory is beneficial for anyone at all both now and in the long-term. I believe it starts by taking a higher moral ground and not losing it which is what is happening in greater examples by the IDF.

If someone was too boasted to me about how they shot at unarmed medics or reporters I would punch their lights out if he was in my unit. Everyone should be offended when your side behaves badly, I would if it was an Australian and I would want an investigation not a cover-up. Instead I see IDF member’sin videos beating up medics, hitting women and you talk about the “Pallies” as being bad.

I have spent most of my time decrying the West lack of morality in supporting extremist Islam on this forum, which is evident in my posts on Syria and Yemen.

The supposed patriotic saying ‘my America right or wrong’ is the problem which the current Israeli government is conducting itself that lays the path for its own destruction of its society. There is a right and there is a wrong. You shouldn’t sacrifice your morality to accuse the other side that points this it out as an apologist. That’s my point no excuses, be restrained in your conduct or you become exactly like that you despise. You become like the Nazi’s you despise in viewing your opponents as nothing but animals and subhuman.

I believe these forums can be used not just to shoot each other from one side to the other as a point of view but to establish a dialogue of a common ground aside from paid propagandists and open up new ideas and ground to influence policy in other more beneficial directions.
