    I made money in some stocks and sold out before the 12 month hold, I have also lost money on stocks and still holding

    Is it worth selling those ones I have made a loss on just before tax time this year so I don't have to pay as much capital gains tax on the money I made from shares

    Can I claim a loss against the money I made??
