If a field trial would cost $1m and delay prod 3-6 months when moving straight to prod for $5 is possible then the trial is a greater risk to the business. That is self evident.
It's moot anyway since we'll be in prod soon enough with the new process. Things will move fast once regulatory sign off is given and I have a feeling they'll get approval way earlier than we have assumed in the past.
