Its true, adopting US copyright standards was a large part of the USFTA that nerds didnt like.
There is definatley going to be a market in the space ReelTime is looking at. Anyone who thinks there isnt needs to look at iTunes. Now the model isnt the same, Apple makes its real money from the iPod not iTunes, but its proves the concept of downloading media on a large commercial scale. The problem for ReelTime is that 1) the market may not be ready and 2) The media owners make a killing on DVDs and see no reason to invite another medium into the mix that might affect sales. A cynics 3) would be they do not dare risk another iTunes. iTunes strong arms the media owners like no prevous retailler I know of. When online movies come, I am sure they will want more control.
Only time will tell if EzyDVD can turn these guys around and find the market.
