interesting project this one, doing some background reading and the recent broker reports by Argonaut and Mirabaud suggests takeover, the only thing that i see with a bidding frenzy is that Tremont (Denham Capital) own 60% of the project, 50% of their JV half and then just under 20% of 50% (=10%) of Cradle's share on the JV. It would be difficult for a chinese or any other bidder to get it over the line with Tremont's vote particularly when it is clear Tremont want the project. Would you even bother trying to bid it when 60% of the project is controlled by Tremont.

as previous poster suggests valuation of a takeover are based on a whole host of factors, which i think is a bit beyond a forum such as this, but NPV and discounted NPV for taking the project at this stage, capital raising borrowing costs for the mine etc etc , plus the historical share price performance are all variables.

The changes to the management this year with the chairman (middlemas re: mantra resources T/O) and company secretary all point towards some deal being done......more than likely with Tremont taking control of the remaining 40% and taking it private.
