There's always going to be sabre rattling on the peninsula. That's a fact of life going forward and likely to remain so. Mutual destruction serves as a reasonably good deterrent IMHO. Let's face it, people still invested money during the height of the Cold War - and what's really the difference here? The South Koreans (I currently work with one) are not alarmed at all - it's all the same ol, same ol, to them. I would rather have this sort of miniscule sovereign risk of war, than the substantial sovereign  risks of Government policy changes that regularly occur throughout the third world. Now - that's a risk worth losing sleep over. What's more, SK assets are really not valued by the market any more than a few measly million dollars. The Oz assets are probably valued by the market significantly higher.

Getting back to @HotTrade terrific posts. I'm expecting a third mine deal to be announced soon. I don't think SAU are keen on dealing Kochang or Weolyu yet, so the Heungdeok/Daeil mines are the next cab off the rank IMO. HGK is listed as having 9 parallel veins, 0.5-1.0M wide and 25 g/t Au. Daeil (adjacent) has veins 0.1-2.0M at 15 g/t. No mining or exploration activity for 40/50 years. This was in fact, Asiatic's highest priority a couple of years ago. Seeing the excitement that Gubong and Taechang have caused Colin and Charles, why wouldn't this third area cause the same??

The BMV Engineers, with their old mate Doug Kirwin, are all like kids in a lolly shop in South Korea. They'll not stop at these 3 mines. There's Sobo (18 g/t), Jang Am (6g/t), Suam and Cheogwan mines near Taechang. There's Pungsan (10 g/t), Ongam (24 g/t), Yangli (17g/t) and Inchon mines all near Gubong, also. So potentially 8 more mines to perform feasibility studies on. All nearby to the proposed mill sites.

Honestly, BMV and SAU, may as well go 50/50 with all of these aforementioned old mines. SAU should keep 100% of Weolyu, Kochang and Hampyeong and farm out the rest to BMV. There'll be many more opportunities to peg out new areas in South Korea, ones that we currently don't even know about yet.
