Sorry for the late reply family business.
I see Hargreaves Lansdowne have been mentioned. I use then for a pension plan called a SIPP in the UK and The Motley Fool for general share buying and selling.
They both do on line and phone dealing although the phone dealing would not be as personal as an out and out broker but neither are the charges as high.
Oscarone, you can put sell and buy, limits in but the market makers in the UK are sharks (hope I'm allowed to say that - there are some nice sharks in the wild after all) and often quoted prices drop quickly to hit sell stops that they are aware of and then the price can be moved back up.
As for the forums I would suggest going to google uk and then entering the Company name and either share price or share chat. You should then get a page of entries which will include LSE (London South East) iii and advfn. The latter two you have to sign up to if you want to participate but there is a free option on both. I believe you have to sign up to advfn even to view the forums but it only takes a few minutes. There is another more up market forum on the Motley Fool site, again just google and then click boards and go to the relevant sector in this case Oil and Gas. I'm not sure that anyone has started a thread on Leyshon on the Fools board, it's a bit more mainstream.
Beware the rampers and de rampers. LSE is the worst, followed by iii with ADVFN the most serious but not without its share of cowboys posting. On information always do your own research on facts posted and if you have any problems or queries post them here and I'll try to help.
LRL has been interesting post the split and given the upward movement and volumes something could be afoot.
Let's hope it's replicated tomorrow for LEN.
PA owes us one or two.
Good luck.
