I do note that after I wrote that initial post ..Cameron Rhodes ( Gtp ) saying they had a potential default of 10% . Previously defaults would have been around 1/3 of this , at most .
As we certainly do agree , it all comes back to the projects , and please Dmosman , Its NEVER a " tax dodge " ( your words ) only ever a Tax DEFFERAL , the tax is always payable .However the projects must produce a Return , and it must be a reasonable return . This then comes back to our topic of Finance , if you borrowed at 10% to invest , and the project returned 3% ( or looking like returning 3%) , you are naturally going to get defaults . Wheres the interest ?
Any of these companies , pick whichever you like ..if the projects are c^ap , It will all end in tears . At the end of the day ..thats the bottom line.
