The TSV is a close variant of the LCS being built by ASB. The US military has been evaluating four TSV's for the past few years and today's decision could see up to seven ships ordered over the next five years. Ships would be worth about US$70M each. While Incat provided three of the four ships (ASB's is with the Marines), the fact that only ASB has a US shipyard puts it as the current favourite to win the contract because the military can only buy ships made in the US.
