    re: potential resource splain,

I am in NZ and found that normal brokers aren't very interested in trading the TSX for some reason and try to get you to buy OTCC dual-listings instead. There is also a bad time difference that makes it impossible to select good entry/exit points and adjust as the day develops. The best way is to get on-line and trade yourself - benefits are total control, huge commission cost saving and of course much more fun.

I've answered this question a couple of times recently, here is a paste of a previous answer from last week on crazyjimsmith.com:

"I tried out my new on-line US account this morning by buying quite a few of TRO's parent company TOE.V at $C0.95. It rose 10% today and closed on the high at 99c.

Worked like a dream, and commissions are very low, actually way less than my Aus E-Trade account.

The account uses $C as the base currency to trade the TSX.

Anyone interested in trading TSX AND TSX-V look at interactivebrokers.com they allow non-residents to open an account unlike other on-line US brokers that I have tried previously including E-Trade. As I am based in NZ, the Ca market closes at 10.00 am NZ time, very handy.

    Good luck all holders".
