    We continue to see early climpses of this clean energy disruption in action, it's building, and the best is yet to come, happening globally.

    I would say the following article is the reason why the WA gove have embarked on a study to overhaul its electricty grid, which was announced a week or so back.

    You know, as a long term investors, its not very often you get an opportunity to invest in world changing thematic before it really takes hold. I suppose it could be akin to those early investors in Amazon, Google, Facebook, etc before the internet took hold and controlled everything.

    If you look back at history, each of the indistrial revolutions had 3 key components - communication, mobility and energy generation. Its important to note that the infrastructure and tech for these 3 components is mostly in place now;

    1. Communication - We have mobile phones, the internet is well an truely entrenched, and now moving to 5G, which will enable greater capacity and efficiencies, make autonomous cars vialble, help renewables connect and function within the grid environment, etc, etc.

    Your mobile phone is connected to internet, which connects it to your house, your solar & battery system, your EV and the grid - thus, communication, mobility and energy management already operating together.

    2. Mobility - While there is a need for more EV charging infrastructure, thats happening as I write and I believe most peeps will charge at home. As previously posted, all other road, traffic infrastructure and rules are already there. So, transistion to EV's doesn't have that cost or time burden, we just changing the way we move from A to B.

    3. Energy Generation - The generation of energy as the 3rd component is lagging 1 & 2, as it is crucial to supporting 1 & 2. Its a very complicated and large machine driving in the world each day. However, due to cost reductions and improved battey tech, blind freddy can see wind/solar + storage is now playing an increasing role in generation. While generation is lagging 1 & 2, component 1 (internet) will help drive the transition to renewables, connecting the grid to the variable types of generation. As it does, we will have a cleaner source of energy feeding back into and driving compents 1 & 2.

    Long story short, each of the 3 components are inseparable.
