Hi All,
I had a chat with someone from Rio on the weekend who is in the inner circle for Winnu. He couldn't reveal more than what has been released. [He cant even tell other Rio employees] But we did have a good chat so here are some of the facts from his point of view.

1. Paterson Range is well situated to world markets, is flat compared to Chile and other copper provinces, is more more stable than Africa, close to Port Headland [Port Facilities] and Rio believe copper has a bright future.
2. They found copper with the very last drill hole of the season, so they were only hours away from missing it, a 100 meters ether side may also have missed. So for the nervous nellies finding a mine is very hard. The trucks and rigs were literally packed up and ready to leave.
3. The Domes RDM are excited about are very similar to what Rio used to target their drilling and along strike. No guarantee but intriguing all the same. He could/would not say if RIO tried to get our tenements but agrees they are interesting.
4. Because of all the things in point 1. We don't have to find a monster to have a profitable mine. But a monster would be nice.
5. There will be a lot more info about Winnu released when they are ready, but that time is difficult to calculate at this time. They still have restrictions on what they can say.
6. Don't discount more gold being found. I worked in Telfer in the 80s and its still going.

What I took away is just how hit and miss exploration can be but the Paterson Range is the talk of the mining world at the moment.
