Sorry gents, but the numbers DO stack up.
Consider the following hypothetical scenario:
Bid 1 - ATS beats RDF
Bid 2 - ATS beats RDF
Bid 3 - ATS beats RDF
Bid 4 - RDF beats ATS
Bid 5 - RDF beats XYZ, ATS not involved
Bid 6 - RDF beats XYZ, ATS not involved
Bid 7 - RDF beats XYZ, ATS not involved
Bid 8 - RDF beats XYZ, ATS not involved
Result - RDF wins 63% of contested contracts, and ATS wins 75% of head-to-heads with RDF. Both companies' statements are true.
It's easy to get the statistics to mean whatever you want them to mean by only contesting those contracts where you know you have a good chance.
