A shambles ...... why so generous all of a sudden makattack.
It's worse than a shambles.
ASIC gives the impression that it's there to oversee financial markets - but in reality it provides a false sense of security & protection for those with less guile who end up penniless and bankrupt, often at the loss of in their retirement nest egg.

We should rely more on brokers/advisors honesty and their Christian ethics. There should be one law, that crooks should jolly well be honest enough to wear a sign around their neck - they know who they are. Do we expect these hard working good willed brokers to work with one arm tied behind their back, for free. Really!

I s'pose you could look at it the other way. These losers deserve what they get if they're stupid enough to invest with crooked advisors - they have the freedom to make a profit, what more do they expect, someone to hold their hand and guarantee success!

Natural selection should be given more freedom - that's what we want. These cuts in red tape don't go anyway far enough, all wasteful financial regulation should be banished, to allow freer operation of all markets, including the ASX, and for the stronger to survive.
