Ownership rules currently limit Ramsay Health's ability to make any significant in roads into retail pharmacy. The issue of PBS approvals to hospital pharmacies has strict location rules. They are usually operated by companies like HPS which are owned by pharmacists.
Ramsay Health cannot have a pecuniary interest unless the government changes the rules.
