Yes, Dan, you always did say the company would need to raise further capital...though in the absence of "...acquisition and expansion opportunities that it has already identified in South Africa...", I believe cash flows from existing operations WOULD have funded all developments then on the table (including Everest North).
But these guys have a real entrepreneurial fire burning in their bellies, and as McConnachie told Miningmx:
"To raise our profile, we need new projects and it is easier to do that with cash in the bank"... "Where possible, we will look at assets that can generate cash quickly."
