Thanks for your thoughts. Not much point speculating about the unknown future so I have not posted. Also I was busy on other things Friday - Sunday.
VA removes pressure from creditors and stops the dilution from efforts to keep KBL running. With the reported EBITDA they should survive in some form.
I visited Mineral Hill area a few days before the haulroad collapse although I did not go into the mine itself.. I was concerned that with the rains access to Mineral Hill to ship their product could be impossible so their cashflow would be cutoff. I checked the road from Condoblin to the mine access road junction. My Rangie had no problems on the 30k of sandy dirt beyond the bitumen, it was slippery in places, but no hills. Cant judge how a semi-trailer would have gone; I dont think it would have improved the road as it was soft packed wet sand in places; hard below but slurry on top.
I now know they ship via Dubbo and not via Condoblin and I did not check this road in the other direction , but it is also dirt and could be rain affected and soft now. At the time I was told that no shipments had been postponed due to wet roads.
Have put KBL aside and putting my effort into other areas.
