NZ has one of the lowest(? or a really really low) level of company R&D. Is this true? if so why? NZX has companies not naturally inclined to do R&D(??) companies that dont really need to perform such a function? ie i can understand an aeronautics company for eg spending R&D dollars... but no such co. on nzx... nzx has... the warehouse... which i cant really understand in other words R&D expenditure will be dominated by certain industries which NZX doesnt have and NZX has companies that really dont have a need to do much R&D? that right/fair? or have i got it all wrong and nz does have a high/ok level of R&D?
