Problem with a capital raising is that the market/shareholders see the stock at 10c, surmise that a raise will be done at a 20% discount and down she spirals - long term holders are left hanging at higher prices and it takes forever to recover. A wall of selling then sits at the 10c mark and much higher at the IPO mark. Investor confidence is diluted as is shareholder value. Capital raise good when company has performed, not when it has underperformed and disappointed market.
