"2. Is it accurate to say that the fine-tuning drill-process is now happening at Talc Lake? Proposed Hole 0025 likely only sweeps around 20 degrees from 0005 and goes deeper. Not a lot of difference to 0005 for the large cost of a diamond drill hole!! Why is that??? What could the structure of this phantom blue conductor be, and could it be very economic? Are we getting close now? "
I beg to differ. Scale yourself a drawing and see how far from each, the target destinations are.
This is the trouble with looking for these type of deposits. 5 degrees at the end of a 450metre hole is a fair way, especially when you are looking for a "puddle" of a target at the end. 20 degrees is in a different direction altogether.
Most people can't hit a barn at 450 metres with a gun , let alone a specific target. On an inclined hole it takes skill just to keep the 450 metre rod line drilling in a straight line, let alone within a degree specific target.
Other comments above refer to site preparations or setting up a "long drop"
A rig needs to be set up level to start with. If this is on the side of even a small bank, let alone some serious terrain, then dozer work needs to be done. Dozers dont travel at 80km/h.... may need to be trucked in? etc.
Water needs to be sourced, I noticed that they have already done quite a few bore holes as they went, then supply pump and water lines run and set up. Diesel for pumps and rig needs to be got onsite. You don't run a rig capable of drilling 2km down on 20 litres of diesel per day! How many days drilling?...
If they need to mix mud then mud tanks and pumps need to be set up.......
A tailings dam (potentially more dozer work) or reclamation set up needs to be organised (tanks and or pumps) and the list goes on..........
Hope his helps with some understanding of some of the details. Be patient.
It looks easy from an armchair.
