Tom, the market was fully informed that Ellendale had an expected mine life of 2 years. There was never any certainty beyond that and shareholders, creditors etc would have to accept the risks associated with a potential closure. In July 2013 the DMP accepted the company into the Mining Rehabilitation Fund. If you have any grievances regarding the process go and speak to the DMP. As for the settlement of creditors including former employees the process is ongoing.
