Thanks for this useful information. Wikipedia has this to say about Xstrata:

'In 2004 Xstrata closed its recently purchased Windimurra Vanadium plant in Western Australia which had the effect of increasing Vanadium prices received for Xstrata's other Vanadium mines around the world. Many hundreds of people were put out of work and now many Western Australians are not keen to see Xstrata involved in other mining activities in the state because of this action.'

Xstrata was taken over by Glencore. According to Mining Weekly, in 2017: "VANCOUVER (miningweekly.com) – News Thursday that major miner and minerals trade Glencore has produced 10% less vanadium owing to lower kiln availability and maintenance on their evaporation plant is good news for vanadium prices with the shortfall in production likely to continue to support higher vanadium prices for longer." So a small spider has been swallowed by a larger one, and the large spider is influencing world V205 prices.

I posted this just in case people don't remember the PMA Xstrata story. I may well take a punt on KRR given the information you have provided.
