BB, Mt Garnet to Balcooma is approx 160km Kennedy Highway/Kennedy Development Rd. Road is bitumen( mines are approx 10km off the highway), but does have weight limits through above average wet seasons- Kagara has mentioned trucking limitations in recent wets from Balcooma to Mt Garnet. Kagara runs trucks with main trailer and 2-3 dog trailers to Mt Garnet.
Back road from Mungana to Mt Garnet, of approx 220km is mostly dirt, but Kagara did maintain continuous maintenance. This road crosses a couple of largish rivers over low concrete causeways- so again a limit for trucking in the wet.
Baal Gammon to Mt Garnet is approx 100 km, good road but weight limited so Kagara can only haul the main trailer and single dog. Trucking is through Herberton.
Balcooma and Mungana trucking comes into Mt Garnet from the south. Baal Gammon from the north. Mungana trucking doesn't come via Baal Gammon.
The mill build at Mungana ran into the GFC, and as I understand it was initially to treat both the base metals and gold from Mungana( and then the other Chillagoe prospects). The Mungana gold was sold into the Mungana Goldmines( code MUX) float( as was the gold in Red Dome). The Kagara new plan is the Mungana mill would treat the Mungana/regional Chillagoe copper and base metal prospects and Mungana Goldmines builds a new mill to treat the gold from the Mungana mine, the Red Dome mine and other Chillagoe gold prospects.
