That would indeed be exciting but I would not have a clue as to how deep Brookfield's pockets are...(but can't be too shallow, I would guess).
QUB's interests are made clear in their most recent announcement ie Patrick's assets (rail and some others) but in a way, I'd like to see them undergo the transformational change which they suggest is possible rather than becoming a T/O target itself. Loosely speaking, I've always liked an Aussie good luck story (with a good ending of course) and I'm more of a holder than a trader. Also, who should know more about Patrick's assets than QUB. The other consideration is of course the ACCC---a spanner in the works for BF potentially.
We shall see.
