I agree that a few years back there was an appropriate response to great drilling results, resource statements and the like. Whereas I see very little of that now.
A good announcement usually sees a small rise in share price before returning to somewhere near pre announcement levels, even though the announcement has further confirmed or derisked the project.
My point being that if there is not a reasonable certainty as to the timing and size of a return to shareholders, then I don't seem to see much change in the sahre price.
I have not held MEP from the beginning, but agree that there is the potential for the sale of a very significant asset in the future. That is the reason I hold MEP, because it is undervalued and when the value of its projects are realised, there will be an appropriate increase in its share price. However, I feel the general market it not interested until they have greater certainty of the amount and timing of when that value will be realised.
