USA! USA! USA! The chant from around our seats was unbelievable. I made 112 new friends on Friday night, sitting amongst Collingwood members, culminating in a massive bear hug on the siren from the bloke behind me. I thought he wanted a date!
Grundy BOG , followed closely by Cox, Sidebottom and Crispy Skin Chicken. Nothing better than Travis Varcoe at full pace across the hallowed MCG turf. Riewoldt battled manfully and all credit to him. Hardwick gracious in defeat - top man. Martin should not have played.
Half way back to Jolimont station we could still hear the crowd roaring. The only louder game I have ever been to was 1970 GF; in standing room with my father under the old Southern Stand, 120,000 attended but a sad result.
