Nought076 - I am researching exactly that theory at the moment in some depth. To my way of thinking if a broking house has a Buy or Hold recommendation on a stock and are a net seller over the same period then to my way of thinking that is misleading and deceptive conduct and there are certain laws against that and remedies available.

Particularly if they are buying the stock at a lower price than they sell it. I believe that should release that to the market regardless of whether they are a private or public firm.

I am doing some thorough research and investigations and will be taking some formal action if I can prove that any broking house has a buy or hold recommendation but are actively selling it down a share and buying the same stock back at a lower price. Note I have not named any particular brokers and am looking at them all.
