I have been watching QPNs progress ( or lack of it) for 12 months now.
I am not an oil and gas expert, but it is my understanding that 3D seismic is far more accurate than 2D.
This "new" seismic data that QPN has acquired is 20 years old, so I suspect it is 2D. I had a look at an announcement from Nov 2011 and it showed that QPN was shooting 2D seismic back then.
I am a bit puzzled why QPN is using an inferior 2D seismic rather that 3D?
Surely it is not purely bcoz 2D is cheaper?
I would have thought that 3D would be best in the long run so QPN drills in exactly the right place?
Perhaps one of the more knowledgeable posters can explain?
