I don't know if this fully understood but I believe this is a massive statement.
Peter Beattie is now on the record as saying that even if Labor change their policy Federally, if there is a resolution that it will be up to each State to decide on Uranium mining approvals then Beattie has said that the Queensland ban will remain in place.
Don't take my word for it. Read the third last paragraph.
