But I note they just hired Ross Evans, ex-senior manager for CSG development at Origin/APLNG. And whose pipeline runs straight through the middle of the Qld block? You guessed it. It's the main spur line that connects APLNG's Reedy Creek to the main export pipeline to Gladstone.

You'd be pretty hard-pressed to find anybody in the entire world better suited to expediting the development of this block. He has the subsurface knowledge and he has the contacts to get Origin onboard. I expect that instead of trying to get the gas in this block to IPL directly they will use gas swaps with Origin, where this block will plug straight into the APLNG pipeline and they'll supply Gibson Island out of Origin's domestic gas portfolio through the Wallumbilla to Brisbane pipeline. Not having to build a pipeline will be a huge economic advantage.
