@mattyarty -- I just been thinking about your post during the last couple of days. Wanted to make a reply but just been watching StorageWars and Survivor Champions/Contenders, so was a bit busy.
It was this part which, I thought was somewhat confused by you:
"Soul Patts are an investment company and invest in many companies to make money. Obviously they think there is a return for them in Acorn or they wouldn't have invested. I have personally met Rob and Michael and they are extremely smart business men and I just don't see them letting one of their investments raise capital and dilute their investment to appease a director and his options. This would not be in the interests of their many shareholders in Soul Patts i.e. themselves."

I can agree WHSP is an investment company and invests to make money, but that is not their only tool used to increase their own wealth. They also invest or have strategic stakes in distressed and or loss making assets. For example:

Got Robert Millners signature on the transaction and it has been running at a loss for years. whsp5.png Losses can be manufactured too. They make up a small part of their portfolio, but the majority are performing with generous dividend payments. Losses are just absorbed into the entity. Their SP at all time high. Don't think they would object to some board co-investment and investment from related parties!!!!

They missed out on that payday but still soaking up shares.

What is your observations. They make losses which are short-term. Ideally the companies, which they are invested in, which do make these losses come good and continue their stellar growth. I believe QHL is at that point, but that related transactions are on the way..... GLTAH
    Thanks @mattyarty
