Today QGC gave a $136 mill contract to Thiess for upstream work on their project . Was WDS trying to win this contract or might WDS be subcontracted some of the work ? They seem to have a relationship with Theiss .
I was surprised that Thiess is even in the CSG game . Looking at their web site there is no reference to CSG , although plenty of reference to coal and infrastructure .
It makes me think that if Theiss doesn't have a great depth of experience in CSG and seeing how WDS's other divisions (coal mining and infrastructure) are so closely aligned to Theiss (not to mention the personal connections such as a Director and two senior managers) wouldn't WDS be an appropriate takeover target for Theiss? Would Pala buy shares for another organisation such as Theiss/Leighton to help accumulate a significant shareholding anonymously?
