Guys, below is the final list of Questions which Dave has. I took a liberty and added a few at the end, which I think have some relevancy - hope no one minds!
Note: When I sent Dave the questions I put in a caveat saying words to the effect: take your time - the business comes first. Despite that, on what must have been a monster busy day for him and Buddy yesterday, Dave emails me(shortly after Quanta posts his Q&A query... not a coincidence me thinks) saying: "I haven't forgotten."
Guys, I know it's early, but for me one of the major investment boxes is getting ticked - we have a quality CEO.
Questions:
1/- Being such a crucial position and critical for the growth of the company - how is the hunt for the Vice-President of Sales progressing?
2/- News has been and will continue to be a major influencer of the POK/BUD SP. To what extent does Dave see non-disclosure commitments potentially affecting the flow of news going forward?
3/- Do you have it in mind to list in The States in the near future?
(Is there is a plan for a future listing on the Nasdaq.)
4/- 95percent or the vast majority of companies fail in the markets. They stay microcap hardly any make it to mid cap or large caps.
What strategic differences does BUD have against much larger players that allows BUD to outperform and sign up clients rapidly. ie Amazons, Google.. And even Microsoft??
Obviously signing up clients rapidly and scaling their footprint is one way but what is BUDs key differentiator and pathway.
5/- Can you differentiate BUD from the retail type IoT softwares, in particular RYG's Xped. What made you not want to integrate into the retail side of it?
Would you say BUD is a direct competitor with Jasper (Worth $10b +) ?
6/- Potash Minerals owns 22,690,612 shares in Radar Iron Ltd [which makes them #2 shareholder] is also in the process of a reverse takeover, what does Buddy plan to do with these shares – Sell, Keep or some sort of partnership
8/- With all the cyber attack potential of connected devices to the internet, where does the Buddy Platform stand with regards to these attacks? Is it unique enough to be immune from them.
9/- Can you tell me what are the potential hurdles/show stoppers in the first 2 years?
10/- Is IoT the next industrial revolution (and what sort of time-frame for it's growth do you envisage), and how well placed is Buddy already being it it at this early stage?
11/- You have a data base in Asia, you did an investor presentation In Hong Kong in October- How important is the Asian market in your plans and what was the response when you presented there?
12/- Microsoft was one of your early backers - Microsoft also recently introduced Buddy to it's major clients this year - Microsft also provides the databases - So my question is:
From what you know - just how much are Buddy part of Microsoft's plans to get a Foothold in IoT (ie- future takeover), and what is Buddy attitude to Microsoft Azure (I note it's not in your graph below)?
13/- You mention in the Switzer interview Buddy has a "strong Pipeline" - how strong, how close to more announcements are we?
14/- Compared to some of the more traditional CEO's of the past, what is your attitude to PR (ie- social media) and marketing (I see you just hired a head of marketing)?
15/- In your July 21 interview with the Financial Review, you said:
"We are not here to go and invest in a new widget, we're here to pour gas on the fire."
You also have been quoted as saying (please correct me if wrong), Buddy is "in a land grab in the IoT real estate space."
Would you care to elaborate?
