Cars whether they are oil powered or electric will be a main stay. As will idiot drivers crashing into each other.

Mining employs less than 250,000 people in Australia. Even a drastic downturn would only see say 50,000 no longer employed. Australia sells over 1,000,000 new cars / year and has nearly 10,000,000 cars on the road.

In any case this is not a macro economic play, this is a play on one driven (no pun) ceo that appears to be in the right place at the right time.
