All I am saying is be very careful if you are investing your hard earned in niche categories such as market research and media. I have lived around these industries for the best part of 20 years and know them intimiately.
Just to give you a flavour on recent events in market research......WPP are looking to off Kantar. Why on earth would they do that? Because market research is in decline and they can better make money elsewhere. Why did GFK offload its custom research business to Ipsos? Why did Research Now and SSI merge? Why have companies in this sector filed for bankruptcy? Why have many PPL staff members moved on (check LinkedIn). Why did PPL decide to get into media in the first place? Because research is in decline and they thought they were skilled enough (big mistake) to take some of that "media dough".
PPL and Brontech is oil and water, but I can see where you are going with that thought bubble. I doubt anyone in PPL is qualified to be a blockchain programmer as that skill set is highly unique (and sought after). It would be more of case of PPL pulling up stumps and calling it a day. The board at PPL are mostly old timers ill equipped for the blockchain world.
PPL will never reach the heights it hoped to and my guess is that they will retreat back to a privately owned business leaving shareholders out to dry. They will stick to bread and butter research and most probably will be bought out by another panel provider.
