All CEOs do it. Mike Smith has sold a truck load, Gail Kelly, etc. And they didn't even time it well. I think it is just prudent investment strategy to take some money off the table. Suncorp share price has grown by more than the expected upturn in earnings. Historically summer is the period where Australia has a higher incidence of natural disasters (fires, cyclones, etc) and SUN share price enters a seasonal slump.
PS has turned SUNcorp around so some credit is due to him. I think his relative contribution to Suncorp has been more significant than his peers at the Big 4 banks who basically have just had to keep their cushy chairs warm for the past 2-3 years.
