Good to see we're still gaining traction in the US despite StatSports deal.
Obviously this has been a kick in the guts but it's potentially not the knockout blow it seemed when first announced (in terms of US market).
From Forbes article:
The USSF will not be paying STATSports £1bn ($1.4b). "That’s the total value of the deal if all 4.2m registered soccer players buy the APEX Device. USSF will pay for the devices which cover their elite teams and amateur players are expected to follow their lead."
Key part there is assuming amateur teams will simply follow their lead. No doubt it's a massive plus owning the elite market but CAT already have a number of US amateur teams on board and if their new device is top quality then there is still hope in the US after all.
