Singapore talent agency and executive-production company RGM Group has secured a backdoor listing on the Australian Securities Exchange. RGM?s parent, RGM Entertainment, will assume a stake in the biotech company Biosignal, which will be renamed RGM Media.
RGM Entertainment is headquartered in Singapore. Its talent management arm represents international stars such as Cate Blanchett and Anthony LaPaglia. In 2006, it committed an S$80 million film fund to partially finance and executive-produce from Singapore six international feature films over a two-year period. Under the arrangement, Singapore companies would be involved in the production of these films.
The fund has invested in projects such as The Girl in the Park, starring Sigourney Weaver and featuring Singapore?s Oak3 Films as associate producer; and Just Buried, starring Rose Byrne and Jay Baruchel, with Infinite Frameworks as production executive. Another film currently being executive-produced under the fund is Point Break 2, the sequel to hit surfing movie Point Break.
