Now Obes, as seen in my previous post, Exergen intend to start off with a 500tph commercial unit once they have first proven the tech with a 50tph commercial demo.

My information is that they will look at possibly ramping up to bigger capacity autoclaves as they continue to perfect the process from that 500tph unit. Like any tech, it will be no doubt improved upon with each new project.

I had written in notes from a meeting from a few years back that I attended that Exergen were designing an autoclave to process 3500tph with an approximate diameter of 2m.

Guess what Obe's, I have found an old link that mentions that figure -

    http://www.minerals.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/25202/Krmr_n.pdf

"Advanced designs and costs for various throughputs at 100 – 3500 tph (in progress)"

You see Obes, my memory isn't too bad and when combined with the notes I have taken over the years from shareholder meetings and industry conferences ect.. it can come in pretty handy for our little discussions.

So, 3500tph would mean 10mtpa of product would be achievable from a single autoclave and single shaft.

If they are able to get 2 autoclaves in one shaft of 6 or 8 meter diameter, then they could get 20mtpa from a single shaft.

That's very impressive economy of scale.

My thoughts are that they will drill as large a diameter shaft as possible for their first commercial project, rather than drilling multiple shafts each time they scale up. Then they will be able to scale up using the single shaft.

Possibly for the 50tph commercial demo they will drill a smaller diameter shaft just enough to prove the tech comfortably. Who knows, but time will tell!
