Just back to my desk(from the garden) and found the notes from the BCIA meeting posted by Lexie.
500 tonnes per hour from a single 800mm diameter autoclave.
That's 4,380,000 tonnes per year if running 24/7/365, which of course it won't.
If it is dried to pellets/briquettes it would end up around 2mtpa.
If it stays as a liquid and is refined to MRC for DICE you get more apparently.
Obe's, the same volume that is pumped into the autoclave comes back out of the autoclave.
It then depends on what product you require as to how much product you end up with.
As for how many 800mm autoclaves could be viable in a 6m diameter shaft? Time will tell us IMO.
